Anett Törőcsik. MSc Student, Research Assistant

I am a Cognitive Psychology MSc student at Eötvös Lóránd University with a strong interest in clinical neuropsychology. I did my BA in psychology at Károli Gáspár University of the Reformed Church in Hungary.

The topic of my main interest and also my Bachelor Thesis was speech development and its underlying cognitive mechanisms in pre-school children. During my bachelor studies, I had an opportunity to spend a full academic year abroad at the University of Padova in Italy, where I got familiar with the field of cognitive and affective neuroscience, psychophysiology and neuroimaging techniques. I have worked at the Research Center for Natural Sciences as a Research Assistant in a project investigating stress responses in competitive environment.

Beside my master studies, I am currently volunteering as a psychologist assistant at the Epilepsy Center in the Neurology Department of the Buda Children’s Hospital, and doing a course on Autogenic Training technique at the Hungarian Association of Relaxation and Symboltherapy. In the future, I’d like to deepen my knowledge and pursue a career in clinical neuropsychology, as I am greatly interested in the human brain and also in practices to help patients who suffer from brain injury, stroke or neurological problems such as epilepsy.
