Renáta Cserjési. Associate Professor, Head of Research Group

I graduated in psychology from Pecs University, Hungary and Catholic University of Louvain-la-Neuve in Belgium, I hold two PhD titles in medical sciences from Pécs University, and in psychology from Catholic University of Louvain-la-Neuve.

I believe that psychology is a personal journey across cultures and disciplines and this makes it unique, creative and doubtful. For me uncertainty is a motivation per se.

My research interest center around the relationship between emotional and cognitive processes, how their discrepancy can be related to certain psychological problems, and how it develops and changes with time. Lately, I am started to be interested also in intervention, whether by improving emotion-cognition connection using different techniques from psychophysiology to art-based therapy would increase wellbeing and resilience in different populations.

Main research topics: implicit and explicit processes, psychological flexibility, development, frontal lobe, eating problems.
