RESEARCH TEAM.
Raissa de Oliveira Negrão. PhD Student, Research Assistant
I am a Ph.D. student of Clinical Psychology and Addiction programme and a research assistant in the current lab. I joined in 2018 as a Master’s student. For my Master’s thesis, I studied the relationship between emotional and cognitive flexibilities, a topic that I am still involved in. Currently, I am a Ph.D. student and my research topic is the Positivity Effect, emotional bias towards positive information in aging.
I have a BA in Occupational Therapy from the Universidade Federal de Pernambuco, Brazil, and as part of my BA studies I was granted two-semester exchange student scholarship at Monash University in Australia.
I have always been interested in mental health and cognition due to its fascinating subjectivity and possibilities. And as an occupational therapist, I am looking forward to developing my research associated with aging and clinical context, in order to understand better this population and promote better quality of live.
Currently, I am also involved in an EEG research regarding emotional flexibility and how this can be different between 2 generations.
