Michelle M Fitos. PhD student, research assistant

I am a Ph.D. student in the Clinical Psychology and Addiction programme, and a research assistant in the eMind lab. I joined in 2018 as a Bachelor's student.  For my Master’s thesis, I studied the relationship between emotional and cognitive flexibilities, a topic that I am still involved in. Currently, I am a Ph.D. student and my research topic is the link between autistic traits, disordered eating, and emotional flexibility, using EEG and HRV.

I have a BA in psychology from ELTE and a MSc in computational and cognitive neuroscience from ELTE as well.  As part of my MSc, I spent a semester at University of Ljubljana.

I started my journey as an Internal Family Systems psychotherapist working with neurodiverse populations, and this experience still shapes my research direction.  When I’m not working, I can be found hiking in the peaceful Hungarian landscape.
